MOURNING A LOVED ONE

I dreamt my father lay dying in a hospital bed. I loved my father; he was a good man who had devoted his life to his family. I felt this was a great injustice and struggled to sustain my faith. God appeared on my long walk. He said, “I’m sorry for the loss of your father; he was indeed a precious man worthy of a long happy life.” “If this is true, God, why take him from us so early?” I asked. “I don’t take people before their time. In life you have a body, then you die and you become everybody.”
